Kind of funny

I kind of think its funny how we are always wanting the next "thing" to happen. Well... maybe this doesn't happen to you, but it totally does to me.

Exhibit A:
I got a job about 1 1/2 years ago. I was beyond excited. It is my first nursing job, and it's a great resume builder. Well... a year and a half later, I am longing for a different job. Although I will still admit that this one is pretty ideal, especially with having to go to school. Which bring me to...

Exhibit B:
A year ago right now I would have given ANYTHING to get into nursing school and finish. At this point in time, I would give ANYTHING to be out of nursing school.

It might be because I know some exiting things are ahead? Possibly. Because every time I go to get excited about these upcoming things, I remind myself that I have an ENTIRE semester of school standing in my way.

Life is all about the next best thing. I need to teach myself to enjoy the moment I am in right now and not keep wishing I could be living in the next best "thing". Does anyone else feel this way, or am I standing alone?

  1. I totally know how you feel. I am the same way. I even do it with having another baby when mine is almost 6 months and I see a newborn. CRAZY. Don't need another one yet lol! Barely able to handle one
